| Martin Ramirez - Biographical sketch Mr. Ramirez has 30 years of experience in the management of finance, administration and information technology. During this time he has also had direct management experience in operations. He has significant experience in manufacturing management, cash management, internal controls, foreign operations, and network and systems applications. He started his career with Deloitte & Touche as an auditor where he became a C.P.A. Since Deloitte he has served as a CFO or the executive financial person at several companies. He also has experience in raising debt and equity capital as well as experience in mergers and acquisitions. He maintains excellent relationships with financial institutions and professional legal and accounting firms. During his employ at Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Ramirez audited securities broker dealers, banks and mortgage banks where he gained extensive experience in investment portfolios and the controls around such investments. He participated in audits of the largest financial institutions in the United States. The firm BD101, Mr. Ramirez’s consulting organization, has consulted for several companies where he serves generally as an interim CFO or business analyst. He has served manufacturing companies, media companies and service companies for Information Systems. Performance Materials Corporation employed Mr. Ramirez as V.P. and CFO beginning in 1996. The company manufactures composite materials components and has operations in the U.S., Canada and Taiwan and recently established manufacturing in China. The company is a leader in thermoplastic composite applications. Previously he has been a division Vice President, CFO and Treasurer for companies in the oilfield equipment and services industry. A major division of Baker Hughes employed him where he managed their finances for the eastern hemisphere, South America, Mexico and operations in the U.S. The division had three major manufacturing plants including two in foreign countries. He served as the general manager for their U.S. plant. He spent 9 nine years with AVA International, a company with significant patents and equipment technology. He joined that company and helped turn it around from significant losses to a profitable $25 million revenue generator that was acquired by a fortune 100 company. Mr. Ramirez graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting. He has also done post-graduate work there in taxes and management systems. He is a C.P.A. licensed in the state of California. He also contributes time to local organizations for charitable purposes such as the CSUCI foundation board and the Ventura Community College District foundation board. Mr. Ramirez was the Treasurer and Finance Committee Chairman for CSUCI where he managed their endowment funds. ________________________________________________ |
